Matchday 2 Preview with our experts

Winners of Matchday 1 avoid each other, losers need a win to avoid being down by 6 points

eFootball.Pro League Matchday 2 appears as a turning point that could already mark the fate of some teams with regard to the end of the Regular League. After Matchday 1 with three victories –and so, three defeats– teams that got points avoid each other. This may imply that if they win again, they would place themselves ahead of the losers, who are still without points. At the end of Matchday 2, there will be three Matchdays and nine points left at stake, and an advantage of six points might be too hard to overcome.

Our pundit and PES professional player, Yos Sonneveld, highlighted the match between FC Schalke 04 and FC Barcelona (Saturday, January 26th, 17:40 CET) as the match of the matchday. Back in December, Barça faced Boavista from Portugal, and although the blaugranas got the victory, they tied the first game and lost the ball possession in both. On the other hand, the Germans confronted Monaco in an exciting duel full of occasions, but they didn't obtain the points. It will be a very open match in which the understanding between Alex Alguacil and PaUUU24 will be decisive. They have been playing only a few months together, as opposed to Schalke’s expertise.

AS Monaco and FC Nantes will open the matchday (Saturday, January 26th, 16:00 CET), a duel with only French players. As our commentator, Mark Scott, pointed out, Monaco is the favourite team of the match due to the individual and team expertise of its players. In the previous matchday, Celtic was also the favourite against Nantes, but the players Alex GRD and Aazbabysk were about to win the first game, something that could have changed completely the match result. ETTORITO97 outlined at the end of the match the strength of FC Nantes players inside the video game, something that could work in The Canaries’ favour.

Lastly, the match confronting Celtic FC and Boavista FC (Saturday, January 26th, 16:50 CET) could make Ettore show again his abilities towards scoring goals. He would stand out even more as the top goalscorer of eFootball.Pro League table, which he leads with four goals after only one matchday. Now, Celtic should have to beat first Boavista’s goalkeeper, that was the least scored in December, along with its own one. If they make it, the access to the Final Phase would be really close to Celtic’s Italians and ETTORITO97 could become a recurring MVP.
