eFootball.Pro interviews Usmakabyle to know his impressions after the first season of the eFootball.Pro competition and when he’s about to play for the PES world title.
eFootball.Pro: What has the first eFootball.Pro League season meant to you?
Usmakabyle: “For the first time I was able to represent AS Monaco eSports in a unique competition against other football clubs. It's a great experience and I’m proud of it!”
Usmakabyle: "We made a lot of concentration errors during the Regular League but these mistakes could be corrected at the best time and we showed another face during the Finals."
You together with Lotfi, led AS Monaco to be the first eFootball.Pro League champion. Was it difficult for you to win this title?
“It was very difficult! We were very well prepared and trained very hard every day to correct our mistakes, because the level of competition was very high. We did our best to improve and deserve this title.”
With AS Monaco, you finished third in the Regular League, but then you won the Finals and turn out to be the champions. What made you win there? Was it the format, the mindset, the rivals or anything else?
Usmakabyle: "We made a lot of concentration errors during the Regular League and it made us lose points that were within our reach. With a lot of work and motivation, these mistakes could be corrected at the best time and we showed another face during the Finals.”
Has it been difficult for you to play at the same time PES League online qualification, PES League Regional Finals and the eFootball.Pro League? And playing also at the same time 1v1, 2v2 and CO-OP (3v3)?
"My expertise allows me to easily adapt to all situations. With the club and my teammates, we set a schedule to be efficient, well prepared and ambitious for all the competitions we wanted to participate in.”
Usmakabyle: "In just 3 years, I won 2 world titles before taking a two-year break. I’ve come back with a lot of motivation, I train a lot to be the best. I’m obviously aiming for a new world title!"
What have you been doing during these weeks between the eFootball.Pro League Finals and the PES League World Finals?
“To begin with, I rested to be in shape. Then, I resumed training to be well prepared for the PES League World Finals. I don’t want to have any regret and achieve the best performance possible.”
You played together with Lotfi and RedMamba not only in the eFootball.Pro League but also in PES League. How is it to play together with them.
“I’m very lucky to be able to play with them, we know each other perfectly. We know the strengths and the weaknesses of each one, we have the same vision of the game, we trust each other. Apart from the level of play, it’s essential to know yourself well to be successful in cooperation. These are the details that allow you to win tournaments.”
After winning PES League two straight times, you left the competitive PES scene for a while. What made you come back to the PES competitions?
“After my two World Champion titles, I needed a new challenge. The PES scene lacked competitions at that time. The arrival of eFootball.Pro and the interest of the football clubs in esports boosted my desire to return to Pro Evolution Soccer. When AS Monaco eSports and its esports coach came present their project to me, I didn’t hesitate a second. It's a dream to be able to represent such a prestigious club in my favorite game!”
What are your expectations for the season 2 of the eFootball.Pro League?
“I hope there will be more teams, because I’m very motivated to win this competition as many times as possible.”
